Los Angeles Lakers: LeBron James’ Determined Statement Amid Potential Miracle Comeback From 3-0 Deficit vs Nuggets
Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is no stranger to coming back from virtual playoff death to NBA nirvana AKA championship. Back in 2016, he led the Cleveland Cavaliers to an NBA title by beating the Golden State Warriors in seven games of that year’s NBA Finals despite being down 3-1 in the series.

Los Angeles Lakers Star LeBron James Still Has His Eyes on the Prize vs. Nuggets

After James and the Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets at home in Game 4 Saturday night,  119-108, there is a speck of chance that the four-time league MVP just might become the first team ever in league history to successfully overcome a 3-0 series deficit.

For James, it’s about taking one game at a time, knowing that the Lakers don’t have any margin for error anymore against the Nuggets.

Via Dave McMenamin of ESPN:

“Monday’s game is the most important game of the season for us, and we understand that and we know that, so it’s that stage where you lose, you’re done,” said James, who now has the most 30-point games in elimination scenarios with 19. “You win and you keep going.”

The Nuggets are still the clear favorite to finish the series with the ticket to the next round, but it must be infuriating for the defending NBA champions that they weren’t able to get the job done in four games.

The Nuggets and the Lakers will clash anew on Monday in Denver for Game 5 of the series, with Los Angeles looking to extend their life in the playoffs and come back for at least one more game in La La Land.
