Golf bets: Live weekend bets to target for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

We're halfway through the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, which means the amateurs are going home, and the field of 80 will battle it out on Pebble Beach for the final two days of the tournament. Ahead of the third round, let's target one matchup and two outright bets in the live betting market. 

Round 3 matchup: Matt Fitzpatrick > Ludvig Aberg (-110 FanDuel)

Ludvig Aberg is the perfect fade candidate for the third round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The Swede lost strokes on approach in his second round, but he shot -7 because he was second in the field in strokes gained: putting. Aberg started his second round with makes from 42 feet, 35 feet and 28 feet in the first four holes. That's obviously not sustainable.

Matt Fitzpatrick was much better than Aberg from tee to green, but he struggled with his short game and finished his second round with a three-putt from five feet. Expect his putter to bounce back in Round 3. 

Justin Thomas to win (+900 DraftKings)

When looking for live outright bets, you want to target the players who are flushing the ball and possibly getting unlucky on the greens. Thomas ranked second in the field in SG: tee to green in the second round, but he lost 1.51 true strokes putting. He was peppering fairways, sticking it close and burning the edges of the hole all day.

Thomas is only two strokes back of the lead after two rounds, and the Sunday forecast is calling for strong winds and rain. As one of the best wind players in the world, Thomas is a good look at 9/1. 

Denny McCarthy to win (+17000 FD)

Denny McCarthy is one of the purest putters in the world, but he uncharacteristically lost strokes on the green during his round at Pebble Beach. The good news is he gained 2.50 true strokes on approach, which was the third-best mark in the field. 

Iron play isn't normally McCarthy's strength, but if he's going to keep hitting it close, the putts will eventually fall. At 6 under and just five back of the lead, he's worth a sprinkle at 170/1.
