i agree with you 100 percent, i feel that alot of the logos were very amateur, I also entered, and I am a graphic designer, not that i'm barking up my own tree, but common, number 1? seriously....
I am pretty sure thats what he wanted... It didn't have to be from a graphic designer you could of drew it with a crayon on a napkin or just typed up a idea! It was for all his fans!

I like mine the best too! Too bad I didn't have time to submit it! Logo 1 looks like hard work was put into it-you can even see small words in the background-now thats cool ! But its too busy to be a logo-So I would have to go with Logo #7. Great job by all!!
#3 looks like it would be a great logo for you George, I see it on shorts, shirts, shoes, gloves ect... its a real logo,
7 is good too but 3 is my pick, 333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333.
I think the one on the top, far right would be the best to represent GSP because it familiarizes him with the sport of mma, to people that wouldn't know who he is. If you could somehow incorporate the logo from the bottom, far left, and mix it with that one somehow...that would be very cool.
The reason why I do not like the far top right one is because, it's tooo synamous with martial arts logos. I don't think of GSP when I see it, even with the initials and the person. I think of Tae Kwon Do and all the other logos that are just like that.

I agree hockeychick. If it were a Superman punch in the logo it would scream GSP, but it just looks like a logo that I'd pass by in a MMA mag thinking it was something else.

wow, they're all so nice, what great artists your fans are. But like the one of your initials as the fleur-de-lis the best. It's fresh and speaks of you, understated but very refined. Love the one of the kick, of course, I use that pic for a screen saver *lol*, but not sure if you'd want to be defined so permanently by a single moment. Hopefully you see how difficult it was to narrow it down - you guys are all over the place! And these finalists are fairly representative of the different types of logos we received (i.e. ones with the fleur de lys (to twobit's question - there were a LOT with fleur de lys's). Be sure to vote, though!
I believe US & Canadian residents only, can vote. And the winner is annouced on 1st June, when the new website is launched. Voting finishes on 17th May.
Actually, the voting is NOT limited to the US & Canada (only the submissions were, for intellectual property rights issues, per the lawyers)...anyway, all you have to do is go to Georges' website and register - then you're eligible to vote.
So I feel that they all look the same, only 2 out of the 7 actually look professional! number 7 is the only one I feel actually took some actual thinking to come up with graphically, the second one looks like something off of istock and the first one looks like a screensaver.
I like the kick,it's a;; about the appeal of GSP's purity and expertese as a fighter, I do like the Angel wings also, but My favorite is the GSP formed so it looks like the emblem of the Fleur de Le. I get all the Fleur De li's , I do, but to me they Signify France, not the French language. You fight out of Canada, but your UFC's shot at a Pure Hero, Angel Wings are great for you. Wow, that's a tough decision; they are all fantastic - well done to the finalists, GREAT job. My instinct was 7 - it's clean and classy. However I could say the same about 3. I really like 5 too, but a bit cliche I think. Since I'm not allowed to vote, I guess it doesn't really matter... but good luck to everyone.
Ok here is the break down of why I like #1 it looks like a great banner already and when you take it apart you can see it it different ways like the fleur de lys with his tat on on clothing or as a logo I just think that one has the most potential I like the second one two.....and I love #7 but it needs more two it... Maybe GSP and crew can use alittle of all of them or combined two. You have to look at the big picture and all that its gonna be used for! I hope its not the original because I really want one of these finalist to win a chance of a lifetime!!

The 7th one, where is spells out "GSP" in the shape of the fleur delise is the hands down best. Very subtle, very modern, very hip, very well done. That said, I still hope you lose every match youre in! lol.....seriously, youre a beast but I just can't root for a french canadian. (except when you fought Matt Hughes; that guy is just a complete douche.)
I REALLY like the 4th one on the top row. With a little red added in there somewhere with some tweaking, it'd look awesome!!
It kinda reminds me of the Superman symbol, and I dont know about anyone else, but GSP reminds me of Superman....in my own sick world. ;-)
without a doubt the 7th one is by far the best. irs simple but sleek and sharp, jusr like gsp. #7 should take this one. the only other one thats ok is number 5.
I'm quite disappointed that all the logos look so similar. I thought the whole reason of this was to move away from all that, something more classy. What was with all the comparison to Tiger Woods, Chris Angel, and Jordan? Those logos were all simple and yet instantly recognizable. These one chosen are all too complicated and busy. And what's with putting up the old logo up there too? It all seems so pointless. The 3rd and 6th are the only reasonable ones you could put into something small like a hat. A good logo should be able to fit and suit all things no matter what the product is. Maybe I'm just disappointed mine didn't get pick, but these to me are poor choices.

I personally like the 2nd from the top left! It would look really cool anywhere... wall, big print on the back of a shirt, little print on the left side of the shirt, back left booty side of girl shorts, back of a car window... I can pretty much imagine it where I'd like to see it.

My choice would be #4..... it looks really nice. My second choice would be #7 & my third choice is #8. I've been trying to vote since Monday.. but I'm having problems with my sign in account. When I voted, and tried to sign in the first time, it took me back to the sign in page. And i had to sign in again. So it's like you have sign in back to back. Then it went through to work!
Out of all of them, number 7 would look best on a shirt like the polo pony or alligator and would be instantly identifiable as belonging to Georges. So big or small it would look classy and be easily identifiable. Some of the designs would be lost if made into earrings, necklaces, pendants, etc.
I think you are one of the greatest UFC fighters, and I watch you every chance that I get. I love all the designs, and I think it's great that you let us vote for your design. I think the UFC needs to come to Springfield Missouri, I would love to see you fight in person. Good Luck

A contender but not my favorite 4 - Nice effort, would look great on a T-shirt, but it seems very familiar to me...as if I've seen somethings almost identical before. 5- Very nice, but I've seen other martial arts symbols which look similar, plus it looks a lot like the style of the nba logo....which to me, brings the idea of a league not an individual. 6 - Clean logo, but again its a little Affliction-esque....not so original 7 - MY HANDS DOWN FAVORITE, Intelligent, clean, classy logo that could go on anything from T-shirts, to the side of a gym or even the side of a chic bottle of cologne 8, 9, 10 - okay, but not superb like number 7

It would make such beautiful/hansome jewelry, I can see earrings on posts and dangling, pendants for men or women, rings, on ID tags and bracelets, tie tacks--I could go on and on, and if Georges doesn't use it I hope a jewelry maker picks the design up because I would buy it in any shade of gold or silver--platinum if I could afford it. TGIFriday's and turned out to be one of the happiest days of all my family's lives b/c the interest in the contest and everyone getting together to help made it more entertaining and fun than any of our get togethers has ever been. If something so similar to out idea wins we will all be very proud, no matter if someone else gets the prize. As granddaughter Sierra said, "We just want the very best logo for Georges!"

I really like both 6 and 7. I think no 7 has a lot of thought behind it. It's pretty cool to use the letters of GSP to create the a fleur-de-lis. God luck at UFC 100 Georges, I will cheer for you!
